The internet is the best way to promote your business which can show a much better detail of what you have to offer instead of a small advert in the local paper or a telephone directory, and at a faction of the cost.
Dreamweaver which is now part of the adoboe group is far the best for creating your web site, but equally as good especially if you are beginner, its worth getting Net Obects Fusion, its very simple to you, and with practice you can build a good web site. With Net Objects you can also join their news groups and ask any questions and get help from other users.
Front Page is also a good web packgage
Once you have your web design package, you then need a decent photo editing package, bar far Photoshop is the best, but because of its expense, you can get the cheaper version Photoshop Elements. It all depends on what you want to do with your web site.
Corel Paint Shop Pro is another good package.
For my web site I used Net Objects 9 - www.infinitespirit.co.uk Although my site is basic design, its very easy to navigate around which is one of the important aspects of web design.
A lot of people think okay a few pictures, good navigation nice set out is all you need, but it goes one step further, you need to get good ranking in the search engines, how do you do that? by getting the correct meta tags and good description, not easy at the best of times, as there will be many similar sites to yours.
